Our story
Camelina Sun was established in 2019 by a group of entrepreneurs, innovators, scientists, and a fourth-generation Montana farmer on a mission to improve people’s health with unique and innovative dietary supplements and health and wellness products derived directly from the Camelina plant. Camelina sativa is a flowering plant in the Brassicaceae (Mustard) family commonly known as False Flax or Gold of Pleasure. Camelina originated in Europe and Asia during the Stone Age and is renowned for its therapeutic and healing properties.
We grow and process our non-GMO, camelina in northwestern Montana using sustainable and traceable agricultural methods. We cold-press process our camelina seed into camelina oil and meal to ensure that all of the natural, healthy nutritional benefits of the camelina plant oil and meal are retained.
